National Postdoct Appreciation Week

Happy National Postdoc Appreciation Week!

We are thrilled to be celebrating National Postdoc Appreciation Week with you! Each day this week, we will share events and resources at the University of Toronto and beyond. As Professor Joshua Barker, Dean of the SGS, noted in his email this morning, we’re also looking forward to an in person event later this academic year.

NPA Virtual Events Calendar

Today we wanted to highlight the National Postdoctoral Association’s calendar of virtual events for the week. For instance, today there is an asynchronous scavenger hunt, three professional/career development sessions, and a kickoff event at 1pm EDT. Each event has its own registration process, so check the calendar for more details.

Connect with Canadian Postdocs

The Canadian Association of Postdoctoral Scholars/l'Association Canadienne des Postdoctorantes et Postdoctorants (CAPS-ACPP) is holding a free webinar series for members each day from Monday, September 20 to Friday, September 24. This event series is for postdocs, graduate students, and early career professionals.

U of T Queer Orientation Week

This week also happens to be Queer Orientation week at the University of Toronto – it is an opportunity for new and returning students, staff, postdoctoral fellows, faculty and librarians to make connections, engage in activities and have discussions related to LGBTQ2S+ communities. The week features game nights, drag make-up tutorials, informational sessions, ice skating, escape rooms and more! – be sure to read the full schedule because there is definitely something for everyone.
