What’s Coming up at GCAC in Summer 2019

The big news at GCAC in June is that we have moved to our new home located on the first floor of the McMurrich Building (12 Queen’s Park Crescent West). Come visit us there!

Join Us for Our Last Workshop of the Term!
Using Story and Narrative to Communicate Your Research

Are you interested in communicating your research to non-specialist and non-academic audiences? In this workshop, we’ll cover strategies for effectively sharing your research outside your field. We’ll consider how elements of narrative–archetypes, audience, impact, drama, and suspense–can help you create a compelling design for your research story.

Where: McLennen Physical Laboratories, 255 Huron St., Room 134
When: June 6,  4 – 5:30 pm
Instructor: Cristina D’Amico

All members of the U of T community are welcome to attend and no prior registration is required.

Writing Centre Consultations

One-on-one consultations are available for graduate students who seek individualized assistance with their writing. In these 40-minute sessions, trained instructors work with you to improve your capacity to plan, write, and revise your academic assignments. While our instructors won’t edit for you, they will teach you strategies to revise and edit your own work. The appointments can be booked online two to three weeks in advance. The Writing Centre will be accepting appointment bookings until the end of June and we’ll then be taking the month of July off.
