PLAY | Drop-in sports return January 12!

Hockey, basketball, skating, pickleball and more. Grab your friends and come by the Athletic Centre, Goldring Centre or Varsity Centre to check out all the various drop-in sports available to you! Learn more about drop-in activities.

  • Women-identifying students interested in learning a new sport? Join Learn to Play, a series of women’s sports workshops to help you learn to play new sports, or brush up on your skills with familiar ones, to gain the confidence to join an intramural team. Sessions start January 7.

LEARN | Sign up for winter 2025 instructional programs

Learn something fun outside of the classroom with instructional lessons. If you’ve ever wanted to learn a new sport or skill such as gymnastics, skating, swimming, boxing or Olympic weightlifting, sign up for lessons this winter. Programming begins January 20. STRENGTHEN | Learn the fundamentals of movement with Fitness Foundations

Learn how to confidently exercise on your own with Fitness Foundations, a crash course for beginners and those looking to gain more knowledge and independence in exercising at the gym. Join this 6-session program (two sessions per week for three weeks) to learn fundamental exercises and movement basics so you can safely use gym equipment, perform exercises with proper technique and confidently build your own workouts. DANCE | Experience our annual Black Excellence Kiki Ball – February 15, doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Join us at the Goldring Centre for this heated ballroom battle! Hosted by the Legendary House Mother Snoopy of the Kiki House of Disney, the Black Excellence Kiki Ball is a friendly ballroom competition in which participants compete in various categories such as dance and fashion.

  • Want to learn the choreography behind this friendly competition? Join us for our Drop-In Vouge Dance classes beginning January 15.

MENTAL HEALTH | Register for MoveU.HappyU to support your mental health – apply by January 25

Did you know that physical activity can help decrease negative mood and stress, reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, and enhance academic success? MoveU.HappyU is a unique six-week program that offers behaviour change coaching and exercise training to students for mental health support at no cost. The program is open to both international and domestic students enrolled in academic courses at U of T. Undergraduate and graduate students are welcome! Learn more at moveu.ca/moveuhappyu.
