Your experience matters!

Join us for an interactive workshop designed specifically for Indigenous students (undergraduate, graduate and recent alumni – within two years). Whether you are looking to begin creating your CV or strengthening your current CV while honouring your identity, lived experiences and community contributions, this workshop is for you!

Together we will explore:

  • What a CV is and how it differs from a resume
  • Common sections of a CV
  • How to translate your academic skills into your CV
  • How to respectfully incorporate identity and community involvement
  • Learn how to create accomplishment statement bullet points
  • Tailoring your CV

Bring your current resume and/or CV and leave with a stronger sense of how to tell your story!

Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

What you need to know:

  • This session is geared towards University of Toronto Indigenous students.
  • In person workshop
  • Online registration is required – Ensure to register!
  • Registration is limited
  • If possible, please arrive a couple of minutes before the start time as events start on time and you don’t want to miss important information.
  • If you can no longer attend, please cancel your registration to allow others the opportunity to participate.
  • If there is additional capacity, waitlisted individuals will be notified via email prior to the start of the session.
  • Supplies will be provided
  • Priority registration for University of Toronto Indigenous students and recent graduates (within the past two years)

How the event works:

  • Location: First Nations House, North Borden Building 563 Spadina Ave., 1st Floor Event Space
  • Washrooms: Accessible and all gender washroom is located on the same floor.
