Drop-In Ceremony and Sacred Fire 

Dates:  

  • Recurring Wednesday, January 11th to April 26th, 2023 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm 

Location: Askaakamigokwewigamig (Mother Earth Learning Lodge)  

Description: Weekly Ceremony and Sacred Fire, led by Dr. Gokoomis (Grandmother) Jacqueline Lavallée and Dr. Hopi Martin. 

WIIH Talking Circle 

Dates:  

  • January 17, 2023 from 4:00pm to 5:30pm 
  • February 21, 2023 from 4:00pm to 5:30pm 
  • March 21, 2023 from 4:00pm to 5:30pm 
  • April 11, 2023 from 4:00pm to 5:30pm 

Location: WIIH Office In-Person (155 College St., DLSPH – 4th floor, Rm 400, Office Boardroom) 

Description: To provide cultural and spiritual support based on traditional Indigenous practices. Talking circles provide culturally-safe spaces for Indigenous students and staff to have open dialogue and receive feedback from colleagues and Elders. 

Ospwagon (Pipe Ceremony) 

Dates: 

  • February 16, 2023 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm 
  • March 16, 2023 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm 

Location: Hart House Farm 15911 Creditview RD, Terra Cotta, ON, L7C 3G8 

Description:  The event will be in person once a month @ 1:00 – 4:00 pm in the Tipi at Hart House Farms (15911 Creditview Rd, Terra Cotta, ON) 

Please wear appropriate winter clothing. Skirt protocols are recommended but optional. Food and drink provided. 

WIIH Spirit Wind Hand Drumming Session 

Dates:  

  • Tuesday, Feb. 7th, 2023 from 5pm – 7pm 
  • Tuesday, Feb. 28th, 2023 from 5pm – 7pm 
  • Tuesday, Mar. 7th, 2023 from 5pm – 7pm 
  • Tuesday, Mar. 28th, 2023 from 5pm – 7pm 
  • Tuesday, Apr. 4th, 2023 from 5pm – 7pm 
  • Tuesday, Apr. 25th, 2023 from 5pm – 7pm
