Take the Teaching Assistants’ Training Program redesign survey

The Teaching Assistants’ Training Program is undergoing a program review process to improve the program’s effectiveness and quality. This review will provide a clear assessment of the program’s strengths and weaknesses and develop a guide for the program’s future direction. As part of this review process, we are asking for input from current and former participants in our programs through the TATP Program Review Survey.
This anonymous 8-10 minute survey will help us to better understand your experience as a graduate student participant in one or more elements of the TATP’s programming. This survey will be available from June 14 through July 16.

The Kindness Project: Exploring Kindness in Graduate Student Teaching

How have graduate student teaching assistants (TAs) and course instructors (CIs) demonstrated kindness and supported teaching and learning this academic year?
The Teaching Assistants’ Training Program (TATP) wants to acknowledge this kindness and explore the practices and actions that have enhanced the teaching and learning experience in 2020-21. Therefore, we invite graduate students and members of the University community to share their stories. We welcome you to self-nominate or acknowledge the kindness you witnessed in the classroom over the last year through The Kindness Project Survey.

The survey consists of ten questions and will take approximately 8-10 minutes to complete. We are accepting submissions until Friday, July 30, 2021. The project facilitators will review the survey responses, craft a final report, and share their findings during the TATP’s 2021 Online TA Week.

Thank you in advance for sharing your experiences with the U of T community!
