The Teaching Assistants’ Training Program (TATP) is a peer-training program that annually hires a team of 16 Graduate Educational Developers and Coordinators to facilitate mandatory first-contract training for Teaching Assistants and graduate student Course Instructors as well as professional development and pedagogical support to graduate students at all three campuses of the University of Toronto. TATP seeks to prepare graduate students and teaching assistants for the realities and demands of teaching in academic and non-academic settings.
