TANAKA FUND research award 2024
Universities Canada, in collaboration with The Japan Foundation, is pleased to announce the launch of the TANAKA FUND Grant to Support Promising Junior Japanese Studies* Scholars – 2024 competition.
*Japanese Studies is defined broadly as a subcategory of area studies centered around social sciences and humanities research on Japan, which includes the study of the language, culture, literature, politics, history, religion, economics, philosophy, film, arts, and science.

Annual value: A total of $60,000 is available for this year’s awards
Value of grants: Grants up to a maximum of $10,000 are available
Who is eligible: Masters or doctoral level students
Duration: A maximum of three months in Japan
