Graduate supervision plays a central role in your academic experience, yet expectations and responsibilities are not always clearly explained. In our Best Practices for a Successful Supervisory Relationship workshop, we will introduce the SGS Supervision Guidelines and offer practical guidance to help you better understand supervisory relationships. We’ll review the roles and responsibilities of students, supervisors, and committee members, and highlight key regulations related to academic progress. Through discussion and scenarios, participants will gain tools to effectively navigate supervision. This workshop is best suited for incoming graduate students in a research stream program.
