Sign up for this year’s Three Minute Thesis!

U of T’s Three Minute Thesis (3MT) is back! Participating in 3MT is an opportunity to improve your research communication and public speaking skills, as well as to learn about other graduate researchers’ exciting scholarship. Figuring out how to explain your highly specialized research to non-experts is an important skill, which you will use as your research career progresses in graduate school and after you finish your degree.

In addition to enhancing your skills and showcasing your scholarship, there are prizes for 3MT participants selected as winners at the final: $1,250 for first place, $750 for second place, $500 for third place, and $200 for the people’s choice winner, paid into your student account.

All 3MT events are in person again this year. Registration for 3MT runs from January 9 to 30, with heats taking place February 6 to 20. The registration link, program schedule, a recording of our information session, and links to our 3MT workshops are all on the Centre for Graduate Professional Development website.
