Research Your Career (Online)
September 12, 1–3 p.m.

In this workshop, you will learn how to apply your research skills to explore career options and all aspects of the job search process from networking to creating job application materials and interviewing.

Graduate Students – Navigate Your Career in Academia: An Overview of the Academic Job Search (Online)
September 19, 10–11:30 a.m.

This workshop is aimed at PhD students and postdoctoral fellows interested in pursuing careers as university faculty. The session will provide a general overview of the academic job search process, including types of positions, hiring timelines, and components of the academic dossier. You will gain a better understanding of what to expect when applying for academic positions and will leave with resources to support you as you prepare your application documents.

Grad Career Educator AMA – Job Search and Career Exploration (Online)
September 25, 10–10:30 a.m.

This Ask Me Anything (AMA) session for master’s and PhD students and postdocs will focus on job search and career exploration strategies. The Graduate Career Educator from Career Exploration & Education will answer your questions and direct you to additional resources on best practices for job searching and career exploration.

Job Shadowing Orientation (Online and In-person)
Multiple dates in September

This workshop is an information and training session for the Job Shadowing Program. The Job Shadowing Program offers you a short-term opportunity to meet with an employer to explore a career of interest and gain deeper insight into a day-in-a-life of a role. In this workshop, you will learn about how to apply to the program and optimize your job shadowing experience.

How to Network at the Career Fair (Online)
September 17, 2–3:30 p.m.

Prepare for the upcoming University of Toronto Career Fair on September 23rd by learning about best strategies for connecting with employers! Networking at this career fair will be an opportunity for you to gather information related to your career and job search questions, while sharing your unique story with key employers in diverse industries.
