Register for ‘Picture a Scientist’ screening and women in STEM panel

In celebration of International Women in STEM Day, the ChemEng Grad Student Association and GradSWE have obtained a screening license for Picture a Scientist, a documentary following three women scientists and the challenges they overcame to pursue their careers in academia (trailer, website). We hope this film will help highlight the issues that affect women in Academia and STEM including the ‘Leaky Pipeline’ effect. 

The license includes unlimited viewing between Feb. 5-10th, 2021 by anyone with the access code which will be sent out to anyone who registers (free). We want to spread the link as widely as possible (please share it!), encourage groups to host their own screening events, and encourage individuals to watch on their own. 

Later in the week, we will be holding a panel of members of the ChemEng community in order to continue the discussion about women in STEM on Feb. 11th, 2021 from 5:00-6:30 pm. You can indicate whether you would like to attend in the registration form.
