University of Toronto Mississauga graduate students and postdoctoral fellows are encouraged to apply for the Network for Healthy Populations Trainee Award – UTM. The award supports interdisciplinary research examining the social, structural, behavioural, and environmental determinants of metabolic and cardiometabolic health, with a strong emphasis on health equity and real-world impact. Trainees supervised by UTM-appointed faculty are eligible to receive up to $15,000 to advance research that informs prevention, care, and healthier living environments.
Awardees also join a collaborative training environment that strengthens research, leadership, and knowledge mobilization skills while contributing to healthier populations in Peel Region and beyond.
