Summer Student Gym Membership
The Summer Student Membership is for U of T students who are not enrolled in spring/summer courses or do not pay HH incidental fees during this term. Students can sign-up at the Information Services Desk or the Fitness Main Desk for access from May 22 to September 1. Please note that the membership costs $141 (before taxes) but is pro-rated based on the date you register on. Graduate students may qualify for the SGS Summer Gym Bursary. The Black Joy Art Initiative
The Black Joy Art Initiative exhibition at the University of Toronto explores the intersection of mental wellness and artistic expression within the Black community. Created by Mercedes Sobers as a counterbalance to her dissertation work on Black mental health access and disparities, this exhibition shifts the focus to strengths, resilience, and joy, providing a platform for Black voices and experiences. This exhibition will be on display from May 1-May 30, 2025, and is located in the first floor hallway. For more information, please visit the exhibition webpage.
2025 Classical Theatre Slam
Join us on May 14 from 7:30-9 p.m. for our fourth annual Hart House Theatre Classical Theatre Slam in partnership with Shakespeare BASH’d! The Hart House Theatre Classical Theatre Slam is an inclusive way for students and emerging artists to join together and share their talent across the theatre community. Exploring the Chinese Canadian Archive with Morris Lum and June Chow
Join artist and professor Morris Lum and archivist and scholar June Chow on May 27 at the Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library from 3- 4:30 p.m. as they explore records created by and about Chinese Canadians and their experiences of an evolving Toronto and Greater Toronto Area. Hart House Orchestra Concert 2025
Join the Hart House Orchestra on May 25 for free in the Great Hall from 3-5 p.m. The Orchestra will be performing Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto in D Major Op. 35 and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 Op. 67! No tickets are required but more information can be found on the event webpage.
