In this workshop, you will learn how to apply your research skills to explore career options and all aspects of the job search process from networking to creating job application materials and interviewing.

Navigate Your Career in Academia: An Overview of the Academic Job Search (online)
March 18, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

This workshop is aimed at PhD students and postdoctoral fellows interested in pursuing careers as university faculty. The session will provide a general overview of the academic job search process, including types of positions, hiring timelines, and components of the academic dossier.

Work on Your Career: Co-working and Accountability Space (online)
March 19, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.

Join our small co-working group sessions designed to help you focus on career-related activities in a supportive environment. A co-working group is a shared online environment where individuals work alongside each other while benefiting from the presence and energy of others.

Grad Career Educator AMA – LinkedIn (online)
March 26, 3-3:30 p.m.

This Ask Me Anything (AMA) session for master’s and PhD students and postdocs will focus on leveraging LinkedIn to support your career goals. The Graduate Career Educator from Career Exploration & Education will answer your questions and direct you to additional resources on LinkedIn best practices.

Career Support drop-ins provide opportunities to engage in career conversations in community with other students seeking career support from Peer Career Advisors and Career Educators.

In this workshop, you’ll explore different approaches to decision-making and common challenges related to making career decisions and planning.
