Launching the Black Research Network at U of T

Join us for the launch of the Black Research Network!

What: Black Research Network Launch

When: Friday, Oct. 8 @ 2:15 pm

The BRN is a University of Toronto Strategic Research Initiative (ISI). The purpose of the BRN is to promote Black excellence at University of Toronto and to enhance the research capacity of Black scholars within the university and on the world stage. This includes increasing the visibility of Black scholars’ research accomplishments by sustaining a cross-divisional, interdisciplinary network of Black scholars across the tri-campus and facilitating robust research engagement across the University of Toronto and internationally.

On Friday October 8, the BRN will host a launch event, Mapping The Network. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear about their programs, supports and upcoming initiatives. The launch event will also feature an engaging talk on the theme of Black technoscience, a message from University of Toronto President Meric Gertler, university leaders and the BRN steering committee.
