Just released: Supervision Guidelines for Faculty
Now live on the Best Practices section of the SGS website, the Graduate Supervision Guidelines – Faculty edition helps both your supervisor and you better understand what defines “good supervision” at all stages of a doctoral-stream program.
Check these guidelines out — and while you’re there, visit the Student edition of these guidelines, published last fall. You may find some helpful suggestions about what to expect from your supervisor, what your own roles and responsibilities are, and what to do if any problems arise as you complete your program requirements.
Both editions of the Graduate Supervision Guidelines were developed in consultation with students, faculty, and representatives from the University of Toronto Graduate Students’ Union, Graduate Conflict Resolution Centre, Accessibility Services, and First Nations House.
