Graduating in March or June?

Congratulations, soon-to-be graduates! Here’s some important information for you regarding your graduation:

Need graduation photos?

CanGrad will be on-site at the School of Graduate Studies, 63 St. George Street, on April 27, 28, 29 and 30, and May 6, 7, 8, 11 and 12.

Book your seating directly by emailing CanGrad.

Need to change your name or add accents or characters for June graduation?

Your name as it appears on ACORN will be the name on your diploma. If your name is missing accents/characters, fill out the form available on the Office of Convocation website and return it to the Office of Convocation at the address provided by March 19. If you are requesting a name change, please visit the School of Graduate Studies between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and bring photo identification.

Have outstanding fees?

You can still attend convocation. However, you will not receive your diploma, and a financial hold will be placed on your financial account and transcripts and confirmation of degree letters will not be released until fees have been paid. If you have outstanding fees and are attending the ceremony, you will receive an empty envelope, which will be identical to the other envelopes containing diplomas. Please note that owing a balance of degree fee only is the exception to the diploma hold rule.

Fees for doctoral students in their final year are based on the date the final thesis is submitted to SGS. Fees are adjusted by the end of the month. Refer to Graduate Fees for complete details.
