Graduate Speaker Series: May 23

This month’s theme is child’s education. There will be two graduate student speakers from OISE, Department of Developmental Psychology and Education and Department of Leadership, Higher and Adult Education. Speakers will present their work on child’s education experience and how it is affected by a combination of their environment, mothers and teachers:
- Indika Somir, MA Candidate (Department of Developmental Psychology and Education, OISE) – “Less is More: The Effect of Cumulative Risk on Children’s Learning”
- Rashmee Karnad-Jani, PhD Candidate (Department of Leadership, Higher and Adult Education, OISE) – “Invisible Work and Hidden Labour in Ontario’s Public Education. A Decolonizing Institutional Ethnography of Mothering and Teachers’ Work”
