Grad Talk: Considering Having a Family While in Grad School (Panel)

When: November 6, 12-2 pm
Where: Main Activity Hall, MultiFaith Centre – 569 Spadina Ave., 2nd Floor

Many students debate whether they should have a baby in graduate school or wait until their lives and careers are more established. This session will help you make a more informed decision about what it means to start a family during grad school through listening to a panel discussion featuring a faculty member and graduate students who are raising children.

You will:

  • hear from graduate students about their experience of integrating studies and careers with raising children
  • learn about programs and resources available for students who are starting a family
  • learn about University and Government leave policies and funding options for pregnancy/parental leave

Pizza will be available.

Presented by the Family Care Office, the School of Graduate Studies, and the Gradlife Program.
