GCAC research article course and workshops this November
The Graduate Centre for Academic Communication (GCAC) is offering a course on Research Articles this November for students in the Physical Sciences and Life Sciences:
Understanding the Research Article: Reading Towards Writing (Divisions 3 and 4) is a 5-week course designed to help graduate students in the Physical Sciences and Life Sciences to improve their “Introduction-Methods-Results-Discussion” (IMRD) research article writing. The course will help students analyze the requirements and characteristics of this article format through lecture, class discussion, and close reading of articles drawn from representative fields of study.

Writing Centre consultations are available every week. In these 40-minute sessions, trained instructors work with graduate students at any stage of the writing process (outlining, drafting, revising, etc.).
