Register for free academic speaking and grant-writing courses in August
The Graduate Centre for Academic Communication (GCAC) offers advanced training in academic writing and speaking through free, non-credit graduate Courses, Workshops, Writing Centre consultations, and Boot Camps. This August, GCAC is offering intensive 3-5 day versions of our Grant-Writing and Academic Conversation Skills courses.
Many graduate students first register for a GCAC course in August before their first term in order to benefit from one of our courses designed to help incoming graduate students with the communication tasks they will encounter on arrival.
The Academic Conversation Skills Intensive is for new U of T students who speak English as an additional language and who want to build more confidence in listening and speaking (plus have the chance to meet other incoming graduate students from around the world!)
