Group fitness workouts return on May 8

Why work out alone when you can workout with your peers! Join a workout to get your toes wet if you’re starting your fitness journey or get back into the swing of things if you’re already a group fitness fanatic! Join Summer Intramurals Sports – Registration opens on May 15

Open to students, staff, faculty and the community. Summer intramural leagues will be starting soon and you can join co-ed leagues to play sports like soccer, spikeball, volleyball and ultimate frisbee as an individual or as a team this summer! Boccia Ball monthly drop-ins starts on May 12

Boccia Ball is a fully accessible Paralympic sport, it’s easy to learn, and requires no previous experience. There will be Sport & Rec staff on site to facilitate a game, and if you’re new, we’ll help you learn! Not sure where the Athletic Centre Field House is? StrongHER Kettlebell workshop for BIPOC women – May 13

This workshop is a movement for self-love, self-care, and support by and from the BIPOC sisterhood. Using kettlebells for every body and every level, this introductory session is for all experience levels to embrace community connection and develop kettlebell basics, while exploring some unconventional kettlebell lifts sprinkled in. Whether it is your first time picking up a bell, or you are a seasoned pro, you can find joy in your movement practice here. Launch to Leadership opens on May 22

Are you or do you know someone who is looking to get health and fitness certifications for employment within the sport and recreation field? Launch to Leadership can help! This program is intended for to students who self-identify as 2SLGBTQ+, nonbinary, trans, racialized, Indigenous, a newcomer,  an international student, disabled/a person with disabilities, a religious minority, and/or low income backgrounds. Successful applicants will be eligible for partial to full reimbursement for a variety of certification courses, including ones offered on campus at Sport & Rec.
