File your taxes before April 30

Free 2023 tax filing appointments are available April 2-30. Book through the UTSU website.

As a member of the Canadian Federation of Students, you receive free access to UFILE to fill out your tax return (look for “students file free”). Use the code CFS1981 to file for free. Please review tips to how to file on UFile.

The Canada Revenue Agency also provides tax information tailored for the needs of students.

Remember, you must record your Social Insurance Number (SIN) on ACORN so it can be included on your Form T2202 and T4A. For those who don’t, there may be a $100 penalty to you and to the University of Toronto from the Canada Revenue Agency. For more information visit the Student Accounts website.
