In this session, we will explore cultivating communities of support for academic and non-academic careers. If you have found networking challenging or are not sure how to build a career community of support, this is the session for you.

In this workshop, you will learn how to apply your research skills to explore career options and all aspects of the job search process from networking to creating job application materials and interviewing.

Join us to:
- Develop strategies to identify workplaces that align with your values, priorities, skills and interests
- Explore disclosure at different stages of the application process, as it relates to sexual and gender identity(ies)
- Foster your confidence and self-advocacy by understanding your rights and employers’ responsibilities
- Build community and connect with other 2SLGBTQ+ students, staff, and alumni
Interview Strategies (In-person)
February 11, 12–2 p.m.
This session will help you better prepare for in-person or virtual interviews. We will discuss how to identify and prepare for potential questions, and strategies for creating captivating stories to showcase your accomplishments to potential employers. We will also discuss navigating discrimination and asking for accommodations.
