Congratulations to our November 2023 graduates!
The School of Graduate Studies looks forward to celebrating the Class of 2023 from November 6-10 at Convocation Hall, and to extending a warm congratulations to all our graduating students. Details about the ceremonies are posted on the Office of Convocation.
Need graduation photos?
CanGrad will be on-site at the School of Graduate Studies, 63 St. George Street, from 10 am-4 pm from November 6-10. Book your sitting directly with CanGrad by email (firstname.lastname@example.org). Please include your degree, with the preferred day, and time in your email.
If you cannot attend on these dates email CanGrad Studios for studio information. The portrait sitting fee is $30 which includes the photography, your hood and gown, and the archiving of your images. If paying by e-transfer the cost is $31 and if by credit card the sitting fee is $32.00.
You will have 24-28 photographs taken and will be sent an online gallery with order forms and web size proofs of your images for viewing and ordering. The portraits take approximately 10 minutes, and you are asked to arrive five minutes ahead. You may order at any time as they keep all images on file.
Attire: CanGrad will supply the hood and gown. Suggested attire is a shirt and tie, or a white or cream blouse with a collar. Anti-glare glasses are recommended to reduce the reflection from the studio lights. You are responsible for your own hair and makeup. Please use only powder or matte/flat makeup and lipstick. Note that SGS is a scent-free environment.
If you have any questions, please call (416) 253-6466 or email email@example.com.
Have outstanding fees?
Diplomas will be held for students who owe fees. A financial hold will be placed on your financial account and transcripts and confirmation of degree letters will not be released until fees have been paid. Please note that owing a balance of degree fee only is the exception to the diploma hold rule.
Fees for doctoral students in their final year are based on the date the final thesis is submitted to SGS. Refer to the Graduate Fees tables for complete details.
If you are graduating in November 2023 and would like the conferral of your degree to appear on your official e-Transcript, please check your academic history in ACORN before you submit your order to ensure the conferral of your degree has been updated on your record. The earliest we expect this to appear on your transcript is Friday, November 10.
