Global Chatter Hour 

Need a break from lectures and studying? Looking to make new friends?  Global Chatter Hour is an opportunity to connect with other international students in a relaxed virtual environment, facilitated by our International Student Experience Ambassadors. Registration is not required!  You are welcome to drop in at your leisure and stay as long as you’d like. Join us for games, conversation, and to meet other students studying across the globe. 
  
During the Winter 2021 semester, Global Chatter Hour will take place (click below for Zoom links): 
Every other Tuesday, 9:30am-10:30am EST, starting on January 12 and ending on April 6
Every other Thursday, 2:30pm-3:30pm EST, starting on January 21 and ending on April 1

Income Taxes in Canada  
The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) is hosting a live webinar for international students. Join us to learn about the Canadian income tax system, your responsibilities as an international student, what tax credits, refunds or benefits you might be eligible for, and how income taxes are filed in Canada. Staff from the Canada Revenue Agency will discuss the process and answer general questions. Please note that CRA staff cannot provide individual tax advice during this session.

Post-Graduation Work Permit Q&A Session 

Are you interested in staying in Canada and working after graduation? You may be eligible for a post-graduation work permit (PGWP) valid for up to three years.

Art Gallery of Ontario Virtual Tour 

Join us for a customized virtual tour and discussion exploring the collections of the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO)!  The theme of the tour will be Art and the Canadian Identity. Discover how artists have interpreted belonging on the land in Canada, and how it is exemplified in their artistic practices. This online class will explore the artists’ connection to land and invite students to consider their own contemporary, traditional and/or cultural connections to what land means to them. The session will be interactive and include an artmaking activity with materials students can easily access from home.
