What’s happening on Stories from a Distance

Stories from a Distance encourages students to find community through conversation. Students can expect to be welcomed into a virtual space (over Zoom) created by and for students looking to invest in meaningful connections within their campus community over the Fall & Winter.

Here’s what this coming week will look like:

ResourceXchange: Let’s Talk… Relationships

Monday, November 2 at 6:30 – 7:30 PM, Hosted by Mona

As we find ourselves buried in a pile of assignments and overwhelmed with work, it can be difficult to maintain a healthy social life. Come chat with us about your experiences with relationships (family relationships, friendships, acquaintanceships, romantic relationships, etc.) at UofT. This student-led session is the perfect opportunity for you to share your tips and advice and to learn how to make these relationships work at University! In all of our sessions, participation is encouraged but never required!

This Wednesday, take a break with the Stories from a Distance team as we unwind and color together. Join us as we unleash our creativity with some casual conversation and drawing. Participants are welcome to share their own designs or just follow along. In all of our sessions, participation is encouraged but never required! All skill levels are welcome!!

FreestyleFriday: Song Association

Friday, November 6 at 6:00 – 7:00 PM, Hosted by Mona

Ready to prove your musical knowledge and work out your vocal cords? This Friday, join Stories from a Distance as we take a break from midterms and take on Elle’s song association challenge. Song association is a game where participants are given a word and have to sing a song with the word it in. In all of our sessions, participation is encouraged but never required!

Join us here on Zoom (Password: 687532)

Be sure to join the conversation on our Facebook group and let us know on the Facebook event if you can make it. See you all soon, and have a great week!
