Call for Graduate Student Representative on Student Library Advisory Board

Expression of interest deadline: August 19, 2022

U of T Libraries is looking for a graduate student to sit on the Student Library Advisory Board. The time commitment is typically 2 meetings per term for one to 1.5 hours. U of T Libraries uses this group to seek advice and feedback about library services we either already implemented or are considering. Students are also welcome to bring forward concerns they might have.

Meetings this past year included discussions about library spaces and accessibility issues, and students provided input about the U of T Libraries’ external review process.

Interested? Email sgs.communications@utoronto.ca with subject line “Student Library Advisory Board” and a short description about why you would like to be considered (less than 150 words) by Friday, August 19, 2022.

Description of commitment:  The Committee meets twice per term for between 1-1.5 hours.  They solicit feedback about library services and new ideas; graduate student perspective is most appreciated!  In between meetings the Library may reach out and email student representatives for feedback, if there is a new initiative coming up, but the time commitment is not onerous.
