Black Research Network Doctoral Writing and Completion Award – deadline September 14

The University of Toronto Black Research Network (BRN) is now accepting applications for the BRN Doctoral Writing and Completion Award.

The award provides dedicated time and financial support to help Black-identifying, full-time doctoral students at the University of Toronto write, complete, and submit their dissertations.

Award value: $7,500 for one year
Eligibility: Black-identifying, full-time U of T doctoral students who are in the dissertation writing and completion stage of their PhD program and have completed their guaranteed funding period.
Application deadline: September 14, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET
