Black Graduation Ceremony – June 7

Hart House is pleased to support the 10th anniversary of the Black Student Association’s annual Black Graduation Ceremony!

This marks an amazing milestone and a reason to celebrate! From its inaugural event, Hart House has been a focal point for this important recognition ceremony and we are proud to be a part of this ongoing legacy.

Black Graduation welcomes Black student graduates across all three campuses and disciplines. This year’s theme: Stories of Roots, Resilience and Rewards, recognizes their hard work, accomplishments and contributions to the university’s culture of excellence, diversity and creativity.

Over the years, the leadership of the BSA has built up this event to be a cornerstone in recognizing and celebrating the achievements of Black graduates, providing them a platform to honour their resilience and academic accomplishments. This annual ceremony is not just a graduation event; it’s a powerful expression of community, culture, and excellence.

The BSA is pleased to welcome the Honourable Jean Augustine as its keynote speaker for the 2026 ceremony. Ms. Augustine is a well-respected and accomplished former member of Parliament and brings years of experience, wisdom and inspiration to our graduating students.
