Get involved with the 2020-2021 Global Commons Student Committee at Hart House!
About the Hart House Global Commons
The Hart House Global Commons is an interdisciplinary space for students from the University of Toronto as well as students from (international partners in) Colombia, South Africa, France, and the U.S.A. to engage in real-time dialogue about pressing issues.
This is an exciting opportunity to engage both locally and internationally, to share perspectives, discuss world views and experiences, and to participate in global citizenship learning. The 2020-2021 Hart House Global Commons will connect for global discussions on one of the most pressing issues of our time—climate justice (connecting environmental issues with broader social justice, human rights and equity concerns).
Join in – Sign up as soon as possible and before October 6th!
Students on the Committee will have the opportunity to:
- Participate in relevant training to learn more about facilitation as well as dialogue practices/approaches engaging diverse participants
- Support the dialogue groups that take place in Global Commons sessions
- Support the development of the Global Commons programming
- Engage in an opportunity to move from dialogue to action in the second term
Timeframe: Members of the committee will meet biweekly/every few weeks from approximately mid-October 2020 to March/April 2021.
