Are you a new grad student?
For those of you who are are newly registered in the Winter session, welcome to U of T and to your first edition of Gradschool e-news!
Each month, Gradschool e-news shares important dates & deadlines, news, events, and resources that impact graduate students across all three campuses.
A few tips for new students:
- If you haven’t already done so, check out the Essential Guide for Grad Students, produced by the School of Graduate Studies in partnership with the Gradlife program and Division of Student Life.
- Mark your calendars: the SGS Winter 2018 Orientation session for new students is Monday, February 5 in the Multi-Faith Centre at 569 Spadina Crescent. This event hosts panellists who will introduce you to graduate resources and services at U of T. You’ll also learn valuable advice about how to strike a balance between your academic and personal life while at grad school. Details about this session and how to register will be posted to the SGS website and GPS newsletter.
- Attend the January 29 Grad Connections session from 12-1:30 pm at 21 Sussex Ave, room 321, where you’ll meet other new students and learn about Gradlife resources from the Gradlife coordinator.
- If you’re an international graduate student, be sure to connect with the Centre for International Experience (CIE) at 33 St. George Street. CIE’s Transition Advisor for Graduate Students also has regular office hours at the School of Graduate Studies and across St. George campus.
