Assistant Invigilator positions-apply by July 22

Positions available: Assistant Invigilator (CUPE 3902, Unit 1)

Duties:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Supervising in-person assessments (i.e. Mastery Exercises and Progress Tests) across the MD Program; some remote shifts may be required.
    • Through active invigilation, maintain the integrity of assessments by adhering to faculty and university policies and procedures.
    • Maintaining confidentiality and security of student and assessment information.
    • Monitoring test/exam time allotments.
    • Handling student concerns/problems and referring to MD Program staff where appropriate.
    • Reporting anomalous situations.
    • Verifying student identification.
    • Making assessment related announcements to students.
    • In certain cases, invigilators may assist in transporting backup laptops between the Medical Sciences Building and the Exam Center at 255 McCaul Street or another exam site on the St. George campus.
    • Invigilators are required to attend an in-person orientation session for a mock Mastery Exercise in the last week of August 2024.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be currently registered as students pursuing a graduate degree with the School of Graduate Studies at the University of Toronto.
  • Applicants must be available for in-person invigilation shifts between August 26, 2024 and August 23, 2025.
  • Experience invigilating tests/exams is an asset.
  • Understanding and ability to apply relevant university and government policies, procedures and legislation.
