This award was established in 2002 to recognize the remarkable contributions of a doctoral student who demonstrates outstanding academic and extracurricular leadership both within and outside of the University. A doctoral student in Curriculum, Teaching and Learning at OISE, Nii Owoo is drawing on lessons learned from Canadian First Nations’ language initiatives, creating an effective indigenous language instruction policy for Ghanaian schools.
