2023-24 Scholarship for Graduate Dementia Research by First Nations, Inuit, Métis Students

The Toronto Dementia Research Alliance (TDRA). TDRA is a coalition among the University of Toronto and affiliated academic hospitals.

TDRA is pleased to announce the 2023-24 Scholarship for Graduate Dementia Research by First Nations, Inuit, Métis Students. This scholarship was created to respond to the historical underrepresentation of Indigenous peoples in the sciences and research.

Open to:

  • Masters ($10k/year for 2 years; $20k total) and PhD ($15k/year for 2 years; $30k total) students
  • Domestic applicants only (living in or planning to move and study in Canada)
  • Those who identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit)

Indigenous students should have a connection to, and have lived experience in an Indigenous community, an in-depth knowledge of culture and heritage, or past work with an Indigenous organization.

  • Application is due June 30th, 2023
