Global Communities of Care

Global issues, such as war, natural disasters, epidemics, disease, social and political injustice, and ongoing world issues have profound and far-reaching impacts that extend beyond geographical boundaries. Students with personal connections to the places and people affected by these problems often face unique challenges and emotional burdens, both in their personal lives and in their academic pursuits.

This program offers a nurturing communal space, facilitated by our Queer Spiritual Spaces Fellow, to provide students with a safe environment to seek solace and connect with others. Students are welcome to drop-in talk, reflect, say a prayer, and find a moment of silence.

This event is in partnership with the Centre for International Experience (CIE) and the Multi-Faith Centre. Global Communities of Care will occur weekly every Thursday, 3-4 pm at Koffler House (Multi-Purpose Room, KP207), as a drop-in program this Winter 2024 term. Participation is optional and students are not required to attend each week.
