Launch of pilot funding for Indigenous master’s students

The Government of Canada has announced pilot funding to support First Nations, Inuit and Métis master’s students. The Indigenous Scholars Awards and Supplements Pilot Initiative, offered by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), is open to Indigenous students conducting master’s level research. Students can apply via the Canada Graduate Scholarships—Master’s (CGS M) competition.
